It concludes with a section containing suggestions for note-taking practices, followed by some tips for assessing students' notes.

- This section begins with an activity for teaching students to recognize the number of syllables in a word, then proceeds with a series of lessons on how to teach vowels along with some accompanying practices and ideas for assessment. It also contains a series of lessons on teaching S-endings for words with accompanying practices and assessments.

Listening-Speaking Activities
Round Table Presentations - This true-to-life student-centered activity is designed to help students to practice their researching, PowerPoint making, presenting and note-taking skills. It is an excellent end-of-the unit or semester project which allows teachers to monitor students' progress in all language skills.
